Typically, our bodies do a decent job at moving our lymph fluid by movement, exercise, and even deep breathing. However, there are times when issues arise where our bodies need help moving lymph that may be accumulating. Why does it accumulate? This could be due to surgery, trauma to lymph nodes, previous cancers, sedentary lifestyle, and many other factors.
Common Signs of a struggling lymph system:
Swelling in your fingers
Feeling stiff or sore when you wake up in the morning
Cold hands / feet
Dry/ itchy skin
Enlarged lymph nodes
Unexplained injury and illness
If you feel like any of the above are you, it’s time to get up and get moving or work on deep diaphragmic breathes to help stimulate your lymphatic system. Sometimes some areas are hard to get to that need to be drained or there are factors that may need an expert to help re-route lymph do a distant group of lymph ducts so you don’t further damage an already stressed out lymph group.
